Der Brandner Kaspar und das ewig' Leben
The 400th performance of Christian Stückl's long-running staging of the Bavarian folk comedy about a man who cheats Death at cards.

Why go
When the Boandlkramer comes to collect him, the wily Brandner Kaspar gets Death drunk on cherry schnapps and cheats extra years of life out of him at cards — until heaven notices the bookkeeping error. Christian Stückl's staging of the Bavarian folk comedy has run since 2005, and this season-closing matinee is its 400th performance. It runs 3 hours 30 minutes with one interval; the date is sold out, with any returns at the evening box office.
