Wallenstein
A seven-hour contemporary Schiller marathon about war, power and mercenary politics, staged with food and intervals.
Why go
Jan-Christoph Gockel turns Schiller’s Wallenstein trilogy into a long-form theatre event about soldiers, private armies and the appetite for power. The production links the Thirty Years’ War with present-day mercenary politics, using a largely female ensemble, live music and a staged meal motif. There are three intervals, English surtitles, and food options on site during the breaks.
