Jeeps
A fast, farcical social comedy by Nora Abdel-Maksoud that imagines a radical inheritance-tax reform upending four lives.
Why go
This is a razor-sharp ensemble comedy for anyone who likes ideas smuggled inside relentless wordplay and physical farce. Writer-director Nora Abdel-Maksoud sets four characters loose in the fallout of a radical inheritance-law reform, where lofty talk of meritocracy collides with real inequality, and the jokes, puns and punchlines come at breakneck speed. It runs about 90 minutes without an interval on the main Schauspielhaus stage, performed in German with English surtitles. Under-30s pay 10 euros in any seat category.
