The Residenztheater's family staging of Astrid Lindgren's beloved tale follows Pippi, the girl who lives alone with a horse and a monkey, lifts grown-ups with one hand and answers to nobody. Directed by Daniela Kranz with live music from Club Für Melodien, it is pitched at children aged 6 and over and their grown-ups. It runs 80 minutes straight through with no interval, so it suits younger attention spans. A morning start makes it an easy outing before lunch.
