Stadtrundgang: Die Schwabinger Bohème aus dem Osten
A guided walk through Schwabing’s turn-of-the-century artistic scene, tracing writers and artists with eastern European roots.

Why go
Patricia Erkenberg leads a roughly two-hour route through the cafés and streets where Schwabing’s artistic and literary scene gathered around 1900. The walk traces figures with roots in eastern Europe, including playwright Max Halbe, painter Lovis Corinth and novelist Eduard von Keyserling. Meet outside the Walking Man sculpture by Giselastraße U-Bahn; advance registration is required, with an optional café visit afterwards at your own cost.
