Maria Stuart
Schiller's tragedy of two rival queens where a nightly draw decides which actress plays the victor, with English surtitles.
Why go
Schiller's tragedy stages the power struggle between Elizabeth I and the imprisoned Mary Stuart as a web of intrigue, conspiracy and political manoeuvring. In this production the roles are not fixed: a draw at every performance decides which of the two actresses plays the winner and which the loser. Performed in German with English surtitles; an introduction starts at 7pm. Runs two hours twenty minutes and is recommended for ages 14 and up.
