Jazzrausch Bigband: Am Weihnachtsabend
Munich's techno-jazz big band swaps club beats for a swinging Christmas set of poems by Eichendorff, Fontane and Storm.
Why go
Best known for their genre-bending techno-jazz, the Jazzrausch Bigband close the year with the warmer side of their repertoire: humorous swing arrangements and plenty of festive feeling. Composer Leonhard Kuhn sets Christmas poems by Eichendorff, Fontane and Storm to music, so the programme lands somewhere between familiar and surprising rather than plain seasonal folklore. It runs a compact 75 minutes in Bergson's Elektra Tonquartier, doors from 17:30, a good fit for an early December evening out.
