An evening of Cuban jazz in Bergson's 478-seat Elektra Tonquartier, where pianist Marialy Pacheco presents material from her twelfth album with a trio rounded out by Juan Camilo Villa on bass and Miguel Altamar on drums. Expect original compositions that fold Havana rhythm into Latin American and classical phrasing, played in a purpose-built concert hall with careful acoustics. Doors open at 18:30 for a 19:00 start, running to 20:15. One for anyone who likes their jazz melodic, virtuosic and rooted in a strong sense of place.
