Sirius Quartet: Incantations

Why go

The New York-based Sirius Quartet pushes the string quartet well past its classical brief, weaving improvisation and original writing into a genre-crossing set. Expect reworkings of Radiohead and The Beatles alongside a piece honoured by the New York Philharmonic, played by violinists Fung Chern Hwei and Gregor Huebner, violist Sunjay Jayaram and cellist Jeremy Harman. It runs a compact 75 minutes in the Elektra Tonquartier, Bergson's 478-seat concert hall out in Aubing. A good fit if you like your chamber music adventurous rather than reverent.
