Midwife is the project of self-taught Colorado musician Madeline Johnston, who makes what she calls "Heaven Metal": slow, atmospheric songs about loss, grief and catharsis that ask a room to fall silent. This is an intimate, emotionally raw set for anyone drawn to shoegaze, slowcore and ambient pop rather than a loud night out. Support comes from Devin Shaffer, and the evening is put on by promoter CoreChaosConcerts. Doors at 19:00, music from 20:00; the venue is not wheelchair accessible.
