Danton
Post Paradies and the inclusive ensemble reopen Buchner's revolution for the Kammerspiele's 100th year, with live music.

Why go
A century after Otto Falckenberg opened the Kammerspiele in 1926 with Buchner's "Dantons Tod", the theatre collective Post Paradies reworks the same material with the house's inclusive ensemble. It tracks three tipping points in European and German history, asking whether revolution without violence is possible and how to break free of stagnation in a crisis. Expect a music-driven staging by director Lizzy Timmers, described as a ride against political resignation, in German. Premiere on 23 September, with further evening performances into late November.
