This one-off evening at the Schauspielhaus remembers the persecuted and murdered artists and staff of the Kammerspiele. It opens with a newly commissioned miniature drama by writer and historian Doron Rabinovici, performed by four ensemble members, then turns to the Jewish Chamber Orchestra Munich under Daniel Grossmann, with Israeli soprano Chen Reiss singing works from Vienna's Jewish cultural world by Mahler, Zemlinsky and Korngold. It is a fitting choice for anyone drawn to classical music with a strong historical thread. An introduction is offered at 19:00 before the 20:00 start.
