PHRE Festival Opening: Melina + MAHA + BalkanSistas + Dr. Ywall

The launch night of Import Export's PHRE Festival pairs an open-air world-music line-up with an indoor club programme. Outdoors, Munich's BalkanSistas open with gypsy, klezmer, swing and ethno-punk at 19:00, followed by the Greek-French singer Melina, who folds poetry and urban pop into traditional Greek song. Inside, Sudanese-Dutch artist MAHA and DJ Dr. Ywall carry a FLINTA*-centred set through to late with free entry from midnight, running across both the courtyard and the hall so you can move between the two through the evening.
