A full big-band night at Munich's best-known jazz cellar, built around the Count Basie songbook and the Ella Fitzgerald repertoire. The MONaco Bigband, sixteen players under conductor Gerd Fink, works through swing-era staples with vocalist Felicitas Frank stepping out on numbers like "A-Tisket, A-Tasket" and "April in Paris". It is a good fit if you like your jazz with a strong horn section and a dancing pulse rather than small-combo introspection. Doors open about an hour before the music starts.
