Why go

A sharp comedy from writer-director Nora Abdel-Maksoud, set on the chaotic film shoot of a fictional crew attempting a new adaptation of George Orwell's "1984". The play uses that dystopia to skewer today's culture-war reflexes and outrage cycles, billed by the theatre as a steep ride on the backlash wave. Expect fast, biting dialogue and an ensemble of five: Eva Bay, Johanna Eiworth, Stefan Merki, Vincent Redetzki and Maren Solty. Performed in German with English supertitles and running about 90 minutes without an interval, this Sunday date also carries audio description, with a 17:00 introduction for blind and visually impaired audiences.
