The City Kinos relay Richard Wagner's Rienzi from the Bayreuth Festival House, staged there for the first time in the festival's 150th-anniversary year. The new production is directed by Alexandra Szemerédy and Magdolna Parditka with Nathalie Stutzmann conducting. The cinema broadcast runs with a roughly two-hour delay and includes two half-hour intervals featuring about ten minutes of exclusive cinema companion programming each. It begins at 18:00.
