Why go

A studio-stage adaptation of Toni Morrison's "Recitatif", the story of Twyla and Roberta, who meet as girls in a children's home and keep crossing paths through their lives. Morrison deliberately withholds which of the two is Black and which is white, and director Miriam Ibrahim turns that omission into the evening's central provocation, letting the audience notice its own assumptions. It runs 1 hour 35 minutes without an interval in the intimate Marstall, performed in German by a four-woman cast. Note that this date currently shows as sold out, with any returns handled at the box office.
