Prima Facie
A one-woman courtroom drama by Suzie Miller: a defence barrister who wins sexual-assault cases becomes a complainant herself.
Why go
A tense solo play built entirely around Lea Ruckpaul, who carries all 90 minutes without an interval. She plays Tessa Ensler, a sharp criminal defence barrister whose speciality is dismantling sexual-assault complainants in the witness box, until she is raped by a colleague and finds the system she mastered turned against her. Suzie Miller's script was an Olivier-winning West End and Broadway hit, and Nora Schlocker's German-language staging keeps the focus on one performer under pressure. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
