The Volkstheater's Jugendclub premieres its devised piece about the poet Mascha Kaléko, who wrote her way from a dull office job into the heart of Berlin's literary avant-garde as the Weimar Republic tipped towards Nazism. The teenage ensemble built every role from figures in Kaléko's poems, letters and diaries, and wrote much of the text themselves. This 18:00 performance on Bühne 3 is the premiere, with only remaining tickets on sale.
